Check out the Children’s Discovery Room in the museum, an interactive discovery experience especially designed for children, but enjoyed by adults too. Listen to stories, and read about children living in Te Wairoa area from around the 1860’s.

Explore the Archaeological Site with Smithy the Archaeologist. A treasure trail for the young and young at heart. Grab a clue from reception and go on the hunt for clues scattered around sites in the park. Make sure to find each clue, and you never know there might just be some treasure at the end!
